Based in Dallas, the project is led by the singer Kristyn Hope, who is known for her wide vocal range. While her earlier music is defined by a fast, electronic &#8220;Future Rock&#8221; style, this new work moves into a slower and deeper kind of metal.<br><br>The project is heavily inspired by the stories and lore of The Elder Scrolls video games, and these themes are woven into every part of the record. References to the world of Tamriel are used to build a unique atmosphere. The creation of this EP was a shared effort between many creative people, including a full production team. It was released through the FiXT label, where a cinematic and raw sound was developed for the listeners.<br><br>This record chooses to focus on feelings and the spirit instead of just playing fast. The album is made up of six pieces that convey a story together. They all move slowly through the parts. This slow pace shows a return to the roots of black metal. This conclusion fits wonderfully with &#8220;Into The Darkness,&#8221; which slows down the tempo again. The acoustics on this track are quite vast and expansive, like a mist rising. These extended passages make you feel like you are in deliberate exile.<br><br>Long, sad melodies are used to show that being alone in the dark can be a good thing. Darkness is reframed as a safe place for people who want to learn about their own souls. The transition from the noise of the world to this deep silence is handled very smoothly. Even when someone is searching for immense power, they still feel the sting of death.<br><br>This emotional burden brings &#8220;Dark Gods&#8221; to its final conclusion. The tribal drum beats help the listener remember the idea of old, pagan powers. The music is like a thick blanket of sound that feels both old and new.
