Reetoxa (or ReeToxA) is the magnetic musical project of Melbourne-based singer-songwriter Jason McKee, who produces a nostalgic yet modern alternative rock sound that mixes the sounds of 1990s grunge and pop rock with indie sensibilities. Having overcome serious personal obstacles and loss, McKee returned to music with barebones, unvarnished lyrics and highly relevant storytelling, taking the pseudonym from his recovery days after rebuilding his creative life.
Reetoxa’s debut album, Pines Salad, arrived in early 2025 and the band has been building momentum with ambitious projects since then, including the double album Soliloquy, featuring singles “You Deserve Better Than Me” and “Demand Perfection.” Backed by a stellar cast of Australian musicians that includes producer Simon Moro, Jet drummer Peter Marin and Men at Work guitarist James Ryan.
